Battleground Country Club was designed by Hal Purdy and opened in 1961. Beginning in 2002 through 2004 the course was redesigned by the Northeast Collaborative, specifically Robert McNeil. The new design features a variety of golf holes from long traditional par 4's to a breathtaking par 3 over water. The renovations are complete and the 18-hole golf course is still nearly 7,000 yards, but challenging to all golfers of varying abilities.

Men's Golf
One of the highlights of Battleground’s membership is our premier Men’s League. The men’s league meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:30pm for an engaging 9 hole scramble. Battleground also offers a great tournament schedule that promises a great variety of fun and competitive events ranging from a 2 person scramble vs the pro to the club championship. These entertaining games are designed to create a spirit of camaraderie and friendly competition.
Ladies Golf
Our Ladies League helps create as a fun and inviting atmosphere where true lasting friendships are built! Designed for friendly competition our league meets for Thursday evening play as well as for several tournaments throughout the season. Our league is a fun social group who invite women of all handicap ranges and is a great way to meet other lady golfers and enjoy some fun in the sun!
Junior Golf
When it comes to our Junior Golfers, our professional staff has created a fun and educational series of lessons to help the future golf stars of tomorrow learn the game of golf, along with proper etiquette and techniques to enjoy the game. Our program is structured along US Kids Program Guidelines and offers a change for your children to learn a sport that they can carry for a lifetime.
Golf Instruction
Golf instruction is available and provided by Battleground’s own PGA Professional staff. Lessons can be given either on an individual basis or in a group setting. Our professionals are versed in the newest teaching methods and offer the latest technology to help educate and perfect your golf swing. With the help of a Flight Scope Launch Monitor, we can help you find the right set of clubs just for you. Battleground also offers custom club-fitting. Popular brand fitting systems such as Callaway, TaylorMade, Ping and Titleist are all available and will help you play your best game. Battleground also offers minor club repairs such as same day re-gripping, to help you rejuvenate your current club set.
